Canon IT Solutions, a subsidiary to Canon Marketing Japan, continues to expand its presence on the Japanese IT-security market in cooperation with Swedish company Clavister. As a result, Clavister has received orders from Canon amounting to SEK 1.9m.
The companies signed a distribution agreement during Q4 2015 and have since then invested jointly into marketing of Clavister’s solutions in Japan. As a result of these activities, Canon IT has order 300 E80 and 10 W20 of Clavister products, for retailing to companies in Japan, where the market has shown great interest for these solutions. Clavister states in a press release today that it expects further orders since the companies jointly aim to gain a significant share of the significant Japanese market for security solutions.
Clavister’s CEO Jim Carlsson comments: “Clavister and Canon have together invested substantially in marketing activities and we start to be rewarded for our endeavours. We have already a healthy pipeline of interested customers and are convinced that we will be able to continue to build on our early successes, since more companies become aware of our leading solutions.”
Canon IT Solutions is a wholly owned subsidiary to Canon Group with more than 26,000 employees around the world and one of the most influential system integrators of IT-services on the Japanese market. Canon is rapidly increasing its efforts to strengthen its position as leading distributor of security solutions.
Clavister’s solutions range from entry-level models of next generation firewalls (NGFW) in desktop format to Virtual Series Gateways which enable large dataflow-volumes and give up to 99.9999% accessibility for carrier-grade security in the most demanding network environments.
