Axonkids announced this morning that its cooperation partner in China has signed agreements with three larger local sales channels. The launch at internet based shops JD.com and tmall.com has already commenced but will be extended with a special showroom on the respective webshop. An agreement was also signed with Mothercare which is a leading chain for children products in China. Combined, the three new agreement partners account for ca 70% of total sales of children and baby products on the Chinese market.
Mother care is primarily working with bricks and mortar stores and has currently 65 shops, mainly in the larger cities in China. Here, the launch will take place at the five biggest flagship stores. If the results are positive there, a further 30 shops will start selling Axonkids safety seats within a three months period.
On top of those three agreements, Axonkids has added ten further shops in China which are now selling Axonkids’ products.
Says Tony Qvist, CEO Axonkids: “For us who have worked closely together with our local cooperation partners, it is a great feeling to be able to present these strategically important agreements for the Chinese market. As with all new sales channels, we are now in an early stage and we won’t see any increase in our sales before the end of the year. The launch in China progresses as planned and we are looking forward to the fall.”
