Nexam Chemical announced today that it has received notice from JVP, a Japanese company specializing in materials for components in the area of ”photovoltaics”, that they have started the commercialization of a material containing a Nexam Chemical cross-linker within the product portfolio NEXIMID®. Upscaling is in its final phase, and production will start in the 2nd quarter of 2015.
The sales value of Nexam Chemicals product for this application in 2015 is estimated at over SEK one million and nearly SEK two million in 2016. The volume is expected to increase over the coming years thereafter.
“Although this specific application has a limited economic value, it is a further confirmation that Nexam Chemicals’ products are being established in the field of electronics”, says Per Palmqvist Morin, CEO of Nexam Chemical.
This is yet another step forward in the rapid development of Nexam. As indicated by CEO Morin, the actual economic impact of today’s announcement might still be limited, however, it is an important confirmation that Nexam’s products are used in more and more applications areas.
To us, Nexam is one of the most interesting cases in the Nordics and a multi-billion SEK company in the making.
