This week’s ranking check for G5 Entertainment has good and bad news. To start with the bad: G5 needs to seriously step up its efforts on Google Play. Q2 2013 has started miserably with declining positions in the top grossing charts. Admittedly, we are only able to screen the markets of Germany, Denmark, Sweden and the USA (due to technical reasons) so the declining trend in those countries is not necessarily applicable to the global situation. However, it does certainly give a sense for how well G5 games are perceived on Google Play.
The good news then is the stellar performance of Secret Society. The game is keeping its position around #60 in the top grossing iPad charts in the USA which is a big success and very encouraging for future G5 free-to-play titles. The company seems to have fine-tuned its monetization strategies which is paying off. Hopefully we will soon see some strong titles coming on the market.
