This week’s ranking check for G5 Entertainment – no news. With a lack of new games, top grossing positions have not moved significantly. For the first time in several weeks, G5 Entertainment launched a new game for iOS on Thursday (Hidden Wonders of the Depths). It remains to be seen if it can contribute to the overall performance in a meaningful way, but the game as such is rather one of the typical unlockables that sell well a certain amount of time without really becoming any blockbusters. What can make a difference is the launch of additional free-to-play games, which are in the pipeline according to management.
What remains very positive is the performance of Secret Society, one of G5’s free-to-play titles. It has significantly improved its positions in the top grossing charts over recent weeks. Most encouragingly, the game is currently ranked among the top 70 grossing games in the US iPad market. In major markets such as USA, South Korea, France, Germany and Russia, the game has been ranked around the top 100 grossing games for quite some time now (see graph below).
