#G5 Entertainment: Ranking check

This week’s ranking check for G5 Entertainment’s games shows that the company is still struggling to find a winning concept for GooglePlay. They simply have not managed to engage as many players as on iOS, despite the fact that several games have been launched so far in 2013. For the first time ever, we saw the launch of a game exclusively for Google Play when G5 released “Fate of the Pharaoh” (which was released for iOS by BigFish). Nevertheless, top grossing positions for Google Play are still sluggish. We speculate that it is the absence of free-to-play titles that is causing this.

Elsewhere, it became public who the new shareholders are that participated in the recently conducted directed share issue. For the first time, several institutional owners are now among the top 10 shareholders which is a sign of stability and quality. Hopefully, these institutions will increase their holdings in the future through share purchases on the market – rather than getting favourable deals in directed issues (the directed issue was done at SEK 47). We are happy to see names like Swedbank Robur, ABN Amro and Lf on the list. We note that Traction has reduced its holding over recent months, which comes somewhat surprising but given their low entry point (SEK 22) it is probably fair to assume that they want to cash in. Doubling the investment within 1.5 years is not too shabby after all.  Once the re-listing to Nasdaq OMX has been concluded we expect more funds to invest in G5 which should lead to the long-awaited revaluation of the company.
