#G5 Entertainment: First ranking check of 2013

newlogoHappy New Year to all of you and what better way to start 2013 than with an updated ranking check for our top-pick G5 Entertainment.

As we told you last week, app analytics company Flurry reported that app downloads more than doubled on Christmas.  Specifically, over the December 1 – 20 baseline, download volumes increased by 112% on Christmas. Despite the ever-growing installed base of existing smart devices, the influx of new devices on Christmas Day still helped deliver a record download day, besting that of any previous day in history.

In light of this, we are happy to note that G5 games’ held up encouragingly well in the top grossing lists during the holiday season so far. It its traditionally the most competitive period of the year with giants like Electronic Arts and Gameloft putting their most popular titles on aggressive sale, ensuring them the top grossing positions. More so than in the past, G5 Entertainment has done several promotion campaigns itself which seems to have paid off. The company does, however, still seem to struggle to find a breakthrough recipe for Google Play. Having launched several new titles during late fall / early winter, top grossing positions are only slowly picking up.
